Exciting Days
Over the last few years a near silent revolution has been taking place, as a new generation of electric propelled, hybrid narrowboats have been launched on UK waterways.
Adoption has been slowly gathering momentum, but finding good information is difficult, even at national boat shows. Electrika aims to provide a meeting point for early adopters, manufacturers and potential new owners to share information and real-life experience of this exciting new technology.
Friday 11 – 12 July, 2025
Brinklow Waterside & Marina, Cathiron Lane, Rugby, CV23 0JH
Ortomarine in partnership with Aquavista
Electrika is two great, FREE, events in one – Friday is Trade day where boat builders, hire boat companies and manufacturers can come together to discover the latest equipment, designs and experiences. The expert talks will be B2B focused and encourage collaboration and sharing of ideas to create better products and services.
Saturday we throw the doors open to everyone and if you are considering purchasing a new electric narrowboat or converting an existing diesel powered vessel, then this is the day to come. You will be able to meet the equipment manufacturers, talk to experienced electric boatbuilders and chat to existing owners to hear about their actual experiences of “Going Electric”. Saturday will end with an informal gathering with music, drinks and food, to complete a fun and rewarding day.

Speakers
On both days, there will be a full program of talks on all aspects of electric propulsion, given by industry experts and experienced electric narrowboat owners.
Leading manufacturers and distributors of Electric Propulsion systems and ancillory equipment will be in attendence to answer questions on their products.
A big part of Electrika is bringing together existing electric narowboat owners, with potential owners and boat builders to hear real-life experiences of electric boating.
